Meccasonics Ltd. was formed on 1st April 1971 as a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of automated ultrasonic inspection systems.

A decision was taken in February 2002 by the directors of Meccasonics Ltd. to close the company and all areas of manufacture and customer support ceased on 28th of February 2002.

Midas NDT Systems Ltd. was established by former staff and senior management of Meccasonics Ltd..

As well as manufacturing new equipment, Midas NDT offer spares, maintenance and all forms of technical support for existing Meccasonics ultrasonic inspection systems.
